Hello everyone, I am new to this site. I am looking for someone who has had a similar experience with amalgams. In August, 2007 I went to the emergency room 2 times in 3 days with a burning mouth, throat and esophagus. They did not know what was going on. They kept me and performed an endoscopy to see if I had acid reflux. I did not have it and the scope was negative.
I went home with medications which did not help with the burning. I could not eat and lost l0 pounds. After one month, my GP gave me ativan and I was able to feel with my tongue the burning above each tooth with Amalgam fillings and also above my crowns. My dentist did not know what was going on and sent me to a Periodontist. He told me that it was galvanic shock. I was having a battery type effect in my mouth with the Amalgam fillings and the crowns (different types of metals).
My son pulled up on the internet DAMS,Int'l. They sent me lots of info and I bought books on the subject and started to learn about Amalgam fillings and mercury poisoning. I am in the process of having my fillings removed and new porcelain crowns put in. I am still burning where my amalgam fillings and old crowns are. I am seeing a holistic dentist who is experienced in the proper removal of amalgam fillings.
I would like to hear from anyone who had a similar experience or knows someone who did.
PS This is not only my first time on the site, but my first time on the internet.
