Something to be said when you have the priviledge of eating them fresh from the garden though.
All my life corn, potatoes, and tomatoes bugged me. Then, when I started gardening,and these are readily available, I was amazed at the difference/quality of homegrown!
All nightshade vegetables should have their seeds and skin removed before cooking.
These parts collect toxins. There is a handy Italian tomato saucer, the Victorio, that does just this, and makes great berry purees as well!
