When I was six years old (in the 1960s), I developed "petit mal" epilepsy and was prescribed dilantin and phenobarbitol (pills). I took them 3 times a day until I decided not to (laziness) in my mid teens. I slowly stopped having seizures, but my doctor refused to believe that I don't need the pills. If I went to a doctor today (30 years later), they would look at my medical record and tell me I have epilepsy.
