Yes, it can I believe. If the cause of the constipation is that the nerve supply to the autonomic nervous system is compromised then the smooth muscles of the intestines and colon are not getting the correct signals produce peristalsis to the degree necessaey to produce regular bowel movements. This may be a partial cause, there may be other reasons also. A good chiropractor should be able to find all of the reasons for your problem whether nerve related or not. They are fully trained in diagnosis and would offer additional natural remedies aside from adjustments if you need them. That is if you find a good one (:
