Hi Margie,

I've heard the movie analogy before. One goes to a movie that is a tearjerker. During the movie one experiences various emotional responses. Those responses are the subconscious identifying with the plot/characters. Since the subconscious can not distinguish between what is real, the person experiences real emotional responses.

Your interpretation of Steve's dream is very good. It's not one I would have even considered. Maybe I'm just getting too cynical in my old age. However, that was a very good interpretation.

I would agree our past forms a basis for the way we observe and react to the world around us. I think we all try to improve upon our past histories. The changes may be good, maybe not. However, we try to do what we can with the "light" we have. It's not a matter of right or wrong, it's a matter of moving forward. If we didn't, there would be no change.

I would disagree that our "life maps" can not be changed. War, illness, prison, famine, etc. all contributes to radical life changes. However, the neural connections can be modified without the traumatic situations that usually effect such changes. I think meditation is one means to achieving this, but there are probably others. I've been working with self-hypnosis CD's. Is it working? I have no idea, most people still think I'm crazier than a bed bug. However, I know better. I'm sane, and they are all crazy. Sort of like sitting by a stream. Does the stream flow past you, or do you flow past the stream?

Your right, I'm not much in the way of being illusionary. Delusional maybe, but not illusional:). I do find your thought processes interesting. If I've overstepped a boundary, my apologies. However, now I have to figure out if I was subconsciously trying figure your psyche, or was I truly trying to get and understand a divergent perspective.

Take care,

Arnold
