>"I think you misunderstood. What I mean by "minority" is not a group of people with a socioeconomic status, but a statistical NUMBER (meaning small). The number of abortions conducted with rape as the justification is very small compared to those done for "oops" reasons. Therefore, it is lunacy to conduct policy or create social standards based on the experiences of a few"<

For one thing my daughter was raped. It does not sit very well with me for you to demean her experience and the experience of others.

And no I did not misunderstand, that's why I asked where you lived. You talk as if you have lived a somewhat sheltered life. Especially viewing this comment as well:

>"I'm sorry if a harmless word offends you so much but my point is thus; couples who cannot find a natural way around getting pregnant are either severely uneducated, ignorant, or mentally challenged. That's as diplomatic as I can be"<

Are you serious? Good for you. I'm glad you have been able to live a perfectly planned life, many have not.

>"You failed to read what I wrote. Let me repeat: We should not take that liberty away from women if they can find a justification they can live with. However, at the same time we should not be promoting a culture of rampant, irresponsible behavior with no regard to the seriousness of human life. Unfortunately, this is what the current pro-choice crowd is doing. I'm am pro-choice but they don't represent me at all"<

I read everything you wrote and you are riding the fence. Either you are pro-choice, or you are not. You want to be pro-choice with limits and controls on people. You want to "let local communities decide and then you can choose what kind of community you want to live in". That is not pro-choice. And no one is "promoting any rampant and irresponsible behavior either. Responsible women become accidentally pregnant. You are insinuating that everyone that gets pregnant by accident is an idiot.

If people want to practice abstinence, that's their business. Unfortunately your proposal of waiting until solving ailments is not something that everyone is willing to do. Some ailments are not solved overnight.

And I don't feel the way you do about "the sanctity of human life". People are animals and they are no better in my opinion. And that was not meant as a derogatory comment. People ARE animals. I have respect for animals too and I feel sad if I accidentally kill a spider for example, do you?

>"I will be your greatest defender, but don't push your birth control or lack of respect for life barbarism onto me<"

Do you eat meat or any animal products?

I'm not pushing anything on anyone or requiring anyone to do anything.

Natural birth control does not always work that's a fact. Neither does un-natural birth control always work. Abortion needs to remain legal in ALL areas of government and is nobody else's business. This is always what is comes down to. An abortion should be kept private because it is private.

Your post carries heavy Religious overtones, so just remember not everyone believes the same as you do nor should they be forced to.

Anyway, so that's why we brought up discussion of fixthedix. There would be less abortions. Vasectomies may not be natural but they are more natural than drugs. And as I said before, maybe they need to perfect the procedure.

>"That is not the spirit of curezone so I suggest you take your vasectomy campaign elsewhere. If its truly "only about the woman" then you have no business in the fate of male genitalia right?"<

I'm probably not going anywhere soon. I think vasectomy is a subject worth discussing given the number of women harmed by birth control and people trying to impose inti-abortion laws. Many male gynecologists make themselves responsible for the fate of female's genitalia as well as men in pharmaceutical corporations but you won't see me forcing anything on any men or anyone else.

Anyway, it's a dilemma isn't it? Thats why abortion must remain legal.

And BTW apology accepted.
