just an update. i went to the doctor last wednesday for my post-leep follow-up and everything is great. i am scheduled for my next pap for april. all the problems i had with this dysplasia are looking better now. just hoping to give some hope to others who are in my situation. all this trouble i've been through i strongly believe to be because of the Mirena IUD. ever since it has been removed all of the infections i got constantly while i had it have gone away and the side effects such as fatigue, mood swings, bloating, weight gain, severe eczema, and my ABNORMAL PAP! now that i've gotten the dysplasia removed i'm hoping to put all this behind me and look forward. i hope anyone who is thinking about getting the IUD or has it will reconsider getting it or consider having it removed. it's not the direct cause of the dysplasia, but the IUD's make your body more suseptible to contract viruses and infections (including the HPV virus that causes dysplasia sometimes leading to cancer).
