Like Blueanyelo, I've been on Iodine for several months (seen encouraging results there) and have done 28 liver flushes. The Iodine did not seem to affect the liver flushes, but it's hard to be certain.
After 18 flushes, the stones which came out were smaller, and the numbers started to fall. I had larger stones in flush 22, including one 3.2 cm in length, and since then all flushes have produced smaller (pea-sized) and lesser numbers of stones. I did not begin the Iodine until around flush 23.
I have read somewhere that iodine can help to reduce the creation of new stones, but I can't remember the details. I'd suggest checking out the Iodine Forum and google iodine in CZ for more details.
Also, Telman has reported on some of the factors which go into the creation of liver stones . Check out his blog, and google his name (you will get an enormous library of postings to choose from) and you should be able to find the chemical imbalance which tends to precipitate stones in the liver ducts.
Of course, a chemical or biological imbalance is likely only the physical manifestation of an emotional/mental imbalance.
Hope this helps!
