QE,
Yep, you have it right. As far as the ozone light, the water does indeed come in direct contact with the light itself. Although I have never turned on the ozone light outside of the distiller pod I can see a bluish light coming through the small space between the rubber gasket that holds it into the pod and the pod itself. This is supposed to be a special kind of ozonating light bulb that doesn't
produce nitrides.
The only thing I can think that might cause the spikes in the ice cubes would be the excess oxygen rising to the top of the cube as it freezes but that is just a guess.
Anyway, good luck in checking out Rife machines. There are a lot of them out there. One thing I can tell you about them is that since Rife machines are essentially just signal generators there is no need to spend excess money on needless features. Since I am an electrical engineer and have used many generators over the years, I am uniquely qualified to evaluate these machines on a critical level.
What I found was that at $1795.00 plus the additional $595.00 for the 10 watt amplifier, the GB 4000 absolutely delivers the best 'bang for the buck' when considering Rife features. This is especially true considering you can spend up to $8,000.00 for some of these machines.
Cheers!
