I came across your question while in search for dosage of Praziquantil. My Dr prescribed a single dose of 600 mg a couple of months ago. It did not work. Though I can feel my Tapeworm in my gut. I'm sure it has been there for many years.

A couple of years ago, I did a very effective cleanse, from the Hulda Clark website. It was incredibly effective for many different types of parasites. I did her cleanse for about 1 1/2 years. I just kept expelling all kinds of stuff. Though it proved ineffective for this very large tapeworm. I am 52 and I believe I have had this since childhood. It is a fish tapeworm. We lived near a small pond for many years and fished and ate the fish from there for the entire time we lived there.

If you are not sure of how Praziquantil works, it paralyzes the worm, so it will release from your intestines. My first does of 600 mg I could feel did paralyze some of it. You feel the release of pressure in your gut, but apparently not enough to release the scolex. That is the most important part to get, or it will just regenerate itself. I just got another prescription for 12 more of the 600 mg. My Dr. wants me to take 600 each weekend for 4 weekends. We agreed I could move the dosage closer together. I feel that would work better. The side effects may be more harmful, but I feel that having this thing in my gut is far more harmful. I had no side effects from a single does, other than no positive results and felt that an addition dose would have removed it possibly.
