Elimination Diets or fasts are good to see if you are allergic to something.
I started noticing my reactions to gluten after fasting a day or two for liver flushing. I started seeing a connection, because a lot of times when I went back to eating after flushing, Id have HORRIBLE digestive issues, terrible gas, etc.
A lot of times my first meal would be a whole wheat sandwich.
Sometimes the gas I would get after flushing and re-introducing food would leave me so miserable feeling. I noticed I got those stomach pain feelings other times but never connected it to anything. Finally I started reading about how bad gluten is and then realized the connection in my mind..
I liver flushed last weekend and when I re-introduced food, I didnt get the stomach ache and gas was VERY minimal and normal for eating again after fasting.

Of course, this allergy doesnt seem to make much of a difference in my skin, but Im glad I discovered it so it wouldnt keep tearing up my intestines.
