Have you heard of Dr John Lee MD? He has done a lot to dispel the myths around hormone imbalance. and on his site there is a little test you can do which tells you what hormones are out of balance.
Birth control pills are made from dread fulstuff and they will mess around with your hormone balance. you sound like you have too much estrogen - this comes from synthetic sources like meat and diary as well birht control pills.

You will quite amazed at his site and info.
