Not entirely disagreeing with you, but........

Things like crimes and the alledged criminals in jail for supposedly perpetrating them are not always cut & dried, black & white situations; especially these days when one considers the elected officals pumping out so-called laws to enable their alphabet soup of jack-booted thugs wearing any number of badges in the name of law to have unlimited authority to detain and apprehend whomever they choose, only to be supported by a partner division they have the nerve to call department of justice. Some people have awakened only enought to worry - the nwo is coming, the nwo is coming. It's not coming, it's already here! Next time you go out in public please note - we live in a police state. Housing criminals has become a cottage industry to the legislative, enforcement and judicial departments of this country. There are thousands upon thousands of people behind bars doing hard time for nothing other than having a dissenting view and in many cases damning evidence against the criminal government regime authorized to put into jail and pull the plug on any person they so deem......in the interest of homeland security, of course.

As to the bible, it can be quite confusing and contrdicting. Long before the NT era of savior, "thou shalt not kill" was commanded fairly early on in the OT. Pretty simple to understand, no mystery, no doubt, fairly easy to follow. But then follows the course of time and several subsequent chapters - Acts, Judges, Numbers for instance, chapters that lay down a complex and confusing ritualistic formula in providing the fine print and details of a thorough law for the chosen people, especially laws regarding how to judge and punish murder. On the way to their promised land, there was a lot of killing - READ: eradicating societies of women, children and men or else face the wrath of God for failing to do so - sanctioned by God "giving into their hands" numerous cultures and communities of people who followed a different god and got way on the wrong side of this God in the process. Throughout, the original command seems to become more one of "thou shalt not kill, unless I command you to".
