What a bunch of lies.

"The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent, and believe in the gospel."

"The kingdom of God is at hand ... it was then, and it is now. But it is not upon the earth yet, neither then nor now. The kingdom came into full existence in heaven after Christ's atonement, which enabled others who had died before that to return to God's presence - this constitutes his kingdom. When he returns and cleanses the earth, then his kingdom will also be upon the earth."

Jesus says "The time is fulfilled."  That means now!  There is no other way that can be interpreted.  The kingdom of God is at hand  means now!  Not some future time.  The kingdom of God is "upon the earth" right now.  All you have to do is to follow the instructions of Jesus and look for it.

"Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom."

There were certain individuals who did not die, but rather they were taken up directly into heaven. This process is called "translation", and is what is meant by those who would "not taste of death" until he comes in his kingdom. In addition, there were certain other individuals who were allowed to remain alive upon the earth, to do good works and represent Christ, until his return in glory; John the Revelator is in this category, and he remains even today.

What a bunch of baloney.  I've heard that lie for 70 years.  There is no bible passage anywhere that even hints that people were taken to heaven.  Your process of "translation" is a human invention just like the "rapture" is a human invention and has no basis other than in the delusional minds of hypocritical theologians who have to turn the scriptures upside down and inside out to come up with some new religion.  There were people in Jesus' day who experienced the kingdom of God - in their body, on the planet.

""But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God."

Does this mean that some who would not taste of death would see the kingdom of God in heaven, or see the kingdom brought upon the earth when Christ returned in glory? I think both ... Christ's kingdom in heaven came into fulfillment upon the completion of the Atonement, so those who were taken up into heaven without dying would fulfill this prophecy. Also, those same individuals, as well as any who had been allowed to tarry upon the earth until his return in glory, will also witness the creation of his kingdom upon the earth without tasting death."

Just more irrational interpretation of Jesus' message.

"Jesus is not a liar."

I agree 100%!  The kingdom of God was on the planet at the time of John's message, and it was on the planet at the time of Jesus' message.  First you must recognize that it is a spiritual kingdom, one that you as spirit can discover - but you have to look where Jesus said to look and he told us very clearly where it was at.  He also told us over and over again to search and you will find.  That applies to anyone on the planet today.

When you discover yourself as spirit, that eternal spark of light that Jesus also taught that is within each of us, then you can begin your spiritual journey to the kingdom of God.

John 4:24:  God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."

There are literally millions of people today looking for some kind of spooky return of a guy in a body floating to earth and they will somehow fly into the sky to greet him.  That's as crackpot an idea as one can get and it's a wonder that all of them have somehow escaped the loony farm.  It's why they hate science because it is scientifically impossible.

What's going on as spirit is that Jesus never left.

Matthew 18:20:  For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them."

Matthew 28:19-20  "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age."

The Christ/Christos is returning through those who believe and follow what he taught.
