If your having reactions slowly build up over time. Instead of 7 minutes do 3. Also drink clean water (distilled) before you zap. It would be even better if you ozonated the water.

Lastly you should consider The Blood cleanser by Bob Beck instead, as it won't travel through the nerves. It will work in a small area on one wrist.
