I think it would be worth having some kind of tests done- like you said Megan, just whatever is going on with the gray shadow coming across the eye should be enough to get tests done. I don't know if the Vaxa dewormer has any thing related to aspirin in it, but he was having the same type of reaction that week he was on it to when he accidently takes something containing aspirin. What scared me with the blood pressure spiking like it did though, was that he was also having bad headaches with it- first thing I thought of was stroke. He's never had high blood pressure, in fact it's always been on the low side.
The Dr's are always surprised that he is not on alot of the medications that people his age are on- no cholestrol problems, no high blood pressure. He's been very active all of his life. He did go through intensive radiation treatments for prostate cancer 2 years ago.(Brachy therapy)
It would be interesting just to see what would show up in some sort of head scan. I'm sure he's never had anyone look at his brain in all of these 45 years past since he was kicked in the head by the bucking horse.
I haven't said anything to him about any kind of possibility of head worms. I honestly don't know how the people like Glaxony that are sure they have them can deal with them- wanting them dead, but afraid to kill them too.
They would probably be hauling me to the mental hospital, examining my head if I told them I thought there was a possibility of a tape worm in my dad's head. :)
But, seriously how would a tape worm get in there, or in the spine?? He had an open wound to the head, but how else can they get in there?
I agree with making sure the bowels are working good and cleansing too- that has made a big difference in how he feels.
