"The Poetry of Gratefulness"
Sunday, February 3, 2008, Herbst Theater, San Francisco, From 6:30pm


Join me in welcoming Coleman Barks, Jane Hirshfield, Drew Dellinger, Simon Ortiz and Roger Housden to celebrate "The Poetry of Gratefulness". The renowned poets will read from their selected works on gratefulness and its ability to restore courage, reconcile relationships and heal the earth.
The poets and I will be joined by Roshi Joan Halifax and Brother David Steindl-Rast, a world-renowned Benedictine monk and author of seminal books on gratefulness.

The evening is a special fundraising event for ANG*L (A Network for Grateful Living), a nonprofit organization dedicated to gratefulness as a universal principle which inspires healing, cross-cultural understanding, interfaith dialogue, intergenerational respect, and ecological sustainability.

Tickets range from $25 to $50 and can be purchased through City Box Office or 415-392-4400.
