Frustration comes out of desires that are unfulfilled. Desires are there because you have been taught to believe that you are missing something, that you are not ok the way you are, that you need to acquire something, or to become someone other than who you are in order to be able to relax and be happy. These notions are imposed upon you by the society in which you live, beginning at a very young age and repeated enough times, that you think that these ideas are your very own.

The education system is based on this. One is taught to have goals that lead one to a future of happiness and joy. One becomes very good at becoming ambitious, of moving after ideas of goals that lay at some time in the future.

Future [and the past] is a creation of the mind. Future and past are fictions created by the mind. They do not exist. The only reality there is this present moment. This is the only place where one can really be.

With each intentional step towards fulfilling a goal, one moves further away from himself. The more distance that is created in trying to become someone other than who your are, the more tension one will experience. “Tension” is the root of the word “intention”.

A point will come when the tension is very uncomfortable and one will be forced to come back to the natural state of relaxation. Venting emotions is a way to release this tension, a way of unburdening oneself of the discord that one has unconsciously created for oneself.

After unburdening oneself, one is ready to begin again of going after his goals because it is a conditioned habit. One will create more tension only to resolve it. If one does not understand the mechanism and sees how one self-creates his own misery, this will keep cycling. One comes time and time again to a point of 'breaking down' or 'breaking through' until one either ultimately destroys himself in this process or finally 'gets it'. "Getting it" is the understanding that there is really no place to go and really nothing to do in this life in order to be joyful.

One may try to blame another for this self-created misery. This can also be habitual behavior… a habit of remaining immature and refusing to take responsibility for the situation one finds himself in.

The Eyes work as a mechanism in two ways:
One way is that they act in perceiving, or receiving information. If one is clear in their vision, one is able to see reality for what it is.

Secondly, they can act as projectors. One can project images and ideas on others. For example, if one is frustrated and full of anger, one will look out and see a very angry world that is full of conflict.

Everyone in this world is a mirror for every other person that one encounters. Generally, what you see in the other is what is carried within you. When you say that you are reacting to others because of the way they make you feel, this is avoiding the real issue. You are avoiding yourself. It comes back to what you have been conditioned [by others] to think about yourself. That you are not ok as you are. This causes you not to accept others for who they are, too. When you come back to yourself and resolve this issue and discard the conditionings that have been pushed on you, and start really loving yourself, then you will find the world is a loving place for you as well.

Peace to you.
