Hi Gilda,

In regards to your scars "fading", are you referring to red marks (psuedoscarring) or actual sunken, atrophic scars?

My scars really can't fade, because there is no hypo/hyperpigmentation to fade. My scars are holes and trenches that have been carved into my ckeeks. Some of them look like traumatic knife wound scars. They are that jagged, deep, and irregular.

Are you speaking of "fading" as in filling in?

Unfortunately, my scars continue to sink deeper into my flesh on a regular basis. Most of my scars started out as small ice pick scars but slowly morphed (over years) to become broad very deep scars. Some of the scars have joined together as the flesh between two adjacent scars has become atrophied. What would start out as a small scar continues to sink deeper and get wider all of the time.

So, there is nothing that will fade or fill in on my face. Quite the opposite really. I dread to see what my scars will finally look like when they are done eating away at my facial tissue and getting deeper (if that day will even ever come).
