Dear #42103,
I noticed it because I (and my husband both) got the symptoms of Mono-Sodium-Glutamat (Natrium Glutamat) poisoning after eating salads seasoned with only Sea Salt , fresh lemon juice and olive oil. This was very confusing and disheartening. At the time I thought that after all our symptoms were not related to Mono-Sodium-Glutamat (Natrium Glutamat) as I had thought.
This meant that eliminating Mono-Sodium-Glutamat (Natrium Glutamat) was not going to work, contrarily to what I had been led to believe by the fact that by eliminating from our diet MSG I found by reading labels we were getting better.
Thinking that I had (and my husband too) some kind of terrible disease which we couldn't cure and no one could diagnose was terrible. I felt hopeless (also because MSG/Aspartame makes you feel very down!!!).
But we were not really eliminating MSG from our diet, only eliminating the MSG we could detect by reading labels.

It is only when I went to Bangkok for that job that I discovered that MSG was also in fresh fruit/vegetable!
I have very little time because I am trying to answer questions from several people. Also I am writing a detailed post on pendulum detection as I have more information about this now.

Our symptoms were for both:
- candidiasis
- pain in the gut
- crazy food cravings especially Sugar or the foods which were full of MSG
- high cholesterol when we were eating very little meat and a very healthy Diet in general, with NOTHING frozen, canned, prepared by others etc
- too sensitive to cold; chills.
- putting on weight alarmingly while not eating too much (hypothyroidism)
- general weakness (CFS)
- not sleeping well
- being depressed - thoughts of suicide
- next day after MSG : not seeing well
- next day after MSG : not hearing well
- getting easily irritated, tendency to argue much more than is reasonable - agressivity - like "air rage" ADD
- no headaches whatsoever, which for a time confused me because that's what most people with MSG poisoning first complain of.
- pain everywhere where we had had a problem before (broken bones, sprains etc) (Fibromyalgia)
- difficulties with memory - inability to concentrate - brain fog - ADD

my husband's specific symptoms :
- next day after MSG : hair falling out
- next day after MSG : feeling of having "cold socks"; strange tingles and cramps in the feet and hands
- next day after MSG : strange yellowish crystals sticking to underarm hair, like some kind of dried up sweat that does not wash off easily
- next day after MSG : after passing water, brief urinary incontinence

my specific symptoms :
- next day after MSG : pain in the right hip shooting to right knee - eventually this became a chronic pain with worse to come. At one point I couldn't bend my knee anymore. I believe this came because I must have infected the appendice area with candida.
- next day after MSG : freezing to death!! Uncontrollable

You can read about the symptoms of MSG poisoning by going to the MSG sites I recommended in my previous posts.

Please read all my posts on the MSG Debate Forum and on Candida Debate Forum #8 and you will get more answers to your questions.

The baffling thing about MSG/Aspartame is that different people get different symptoms, depending on their own weaknesses. For example I noticed more women get the Fibromyalgia effect (pains everywhere) and more men get the "cold socks" effect. So it looks from the outside as though they have different diseases, when in fact they are all being poisoned by the same thing.
I hope this helps. I shall post later for more details about detection.
Best wishes for your health!
:) :) :)
