>- It would be nice if we could trust the persons who are manufacturing these devices
That is true for any product and not just for the manufacturer. Anyone who stands to gain from the sale of any product should be suspect, but at the same time it is really unfair to immediately suspect someone just because that make or sell something. There are a lot of honest people out there selling things every day.
Both Ken Presner and I started selling zappers because they had a positive influence in our personal lives BEFORE we made and sold them. We both started manufacturing and selling them to help others because at the time we started prices were exhorbitant. When I first started using the zapper, I borrowed one from a friend and the cheapest that I could find on the internet was a poorly made $110 unit. My cheapest sold for $58 and by the end of the first year at least a half dozen of the old zapper companies had closed up.
After that I continued to test and improve zappers. Ken obviously has a good zapper but not the best. I do not claim to have the best although some of the advanced models that I produced definitetly turned some heads at some hospitals.
The FDA is my best reference. They raided us, taking equipment, supplies, and records. They contacted a long list of customers looking to find someone to complain about us. They failed in this respect and the DA told them to return our property.
They sent us a letter claiming that our zappers were a CLASS III medical device (in the same group as a pacemaker) and that we could not market them for use on humans unless we went through their approval process. We do not market them for use on humans.
I still use the zappers that I make myself because it is my right to choose to do so.
>- Therefore I suggest starting cheaper and working your way up as you can afford it
Sometimes, I think that this is a good suggestion and many here have done that. Some have found $10 zappers sufficient for their needs but be advised that those have serious limitations. They are cheap because they are cheaply made. If you get a cheap zapper, I recommend the tendollarzapper.com over the zapperplans zapper hands down. It is technologically superior, better made, and noticeably more effective.
Someone with serious problems should not waste time on a cheap zapper unless they are going to suffer from spending more.
