I am about eleven months into Iodine supplementation. I started with one drop per day, doubled it on day two, doubled that in a few days, and about a week later I doubled it again. At eight drops per day my energy level soared. I began to awaken early in the morning, eager to get out of bed. I have been a late sleeper all my life. I started having vivid dreams that seemed very real.

My goal, of course, was to get the bromide, flouride and heavy metals out of my system. I had very few detox symptoms up to that point: achy knees and headache. I could tell there was still stuff in my lungs. Newport told me it can take 150 mgs per day for six months to get rid of mucous afflictions. So I decided to go for 24 drops per day.

When I got to 10 drops per day the headaches got worse, and I began to have some dark urine, stinky sweat and a funky taste in my mouth. I also got really anxious and paranoid. I did the salt push and it got rid of the headaches. I added the companion nutrients. None the less, the anxiety made me lower the dose for a while. Then I went up to 12 drops per day.

I've been pulsing upwards like that for the past year. The most I've done is 20 drops per day. I've stopped taking it a few times and my digestion seems to get more sluggish. My liver loves the stuff.

I use to fret over taking a break from bloodroot because the disease seemed to come back really fast and when I went back on it, it would make me very sick again. Now that I am getting more minerals, my health seems to be holding. It used to be two steps forward, one step back. Now I make progress, plateau, progress, plateau.
