Suffering properly...yes, perhaps that is what
I did this year but I did not see it as suffering
so much as shifting so I was really comfortable
with the choices I made and did not allow my own
negative feelings about the shopping & the madness
to get to me.

The good news is that it is over and none of us
knows what things will be like this time next
year. I am happy for you that you did have loved
ones to spend the time with and perhaps looking
back, it will look better, and as a good memory.
