Agreed to all of what the others have posted. I was in the same boat 3 years ago, thyroid nodule, many hypo symptoms, including average body temp of 95.5. Endocrinologists (several opinions) said my labs were fine, agreed to do surgery and remove my thyroid but were not willing to prescribe meds because they said I didn't have a problem. Funny that they would perform surgery on something that wasn't "a problem".
Finally I found a Integrative Medicine Dr. who is traditionally trained (and covered by insurance). And finally I am getting the help I need.
So that would be my advice, look for a credible doctor who practices Integrative Medicine. My doctor looked at all my symptoms, not just the labs. We have worked together for more than a year on a steady progression of Armour Thyroid until I find the right dosage for me. Its been a journey, but I can say, absolutely worth fighting for.
Side note, Candida was also an underlying problem which my doctor discovered and is treating me for. Thank god for a doctor who actually thinks and listens. Have hope, they are out there, and keep fighting until you get what you need.
