I've had my Mirena for 13 months. I am very moody, depressed and get angry very quickly. I've scheduled to have it removed in the morning. When I explained my symptoms to my doctor's assistant, she said she had never heard of such side effects of this and that it would NOT cause my hormones to be out of balance. I'm wondering if I should have blood work done to check hormone levels. Is anyone knowledgeable about this?
