I wouldn't have high expectations of the Zen effect. Much like the real Zen, it's subtle but there and makes a difference if practiced regularly. Welcome to the party, OPing is an awesome little hobby/ritual, etc that's best enjoyed for it's multiple small but significant pleasures and benefits.
