Speak to your dentist on this, but if you have given up flouride toothpaste you may want to go back to it and see if that helps...I went through a period where I stopped using flouride toothpaste (out of fear) but found my dental health declined during that time frame. When I went back to using flouride toothpaste my dental health improved.

Should we drink it IDK, but I think brushing with it helps!
