FIRE THE DOCTOR!!! Not all doctors ignore the patients, yet there are many.

I was talking about a situation with my sis-in-law. She has fibromyalgia, her doctor doesn't believe in it. (Now isn't that just nice, that he/she (both of them) has the ability to decide if this is a real dis-ease or not?!) I told her to find a new doc. She said she needed a referral to see whomever it is she is seeing right now.

I believe (no I have not seen my primary care doc, since last April) that if a doctor does not do for you what you need done, fire them. Find a new one. Doctors forget that we pay them for their assistance. They need us to support themselves. Yes, lots of folks need them, yet we must remember they are not 'gods'. Their words should not be ultimate. If it doesn't feel right, go where it does (or just stop going).

You are the one in control and in charge. You know your body better than anyone else does. You need to listen to you. (You means everyone of us, not specifically pointing fingers at anyone.) When you know that your body is reacting in a way that is not right, find someone who can help you. If it is not the doctor you have in this moment, find another...or someone who has had your symptoms and has healed themselves.

Doctors are good, when they remember they are there for US and not the other way around.
