Since you confessed, I feel compelled to do so myself. You are not alone in your transgressions, honey. I lay myself bare for absolution here. I've been of voting age since 1980. I in the past voted for Michael Dukakis and in his first run for the presidency I voted for Bush because I was so terrified that Gore would win, not realizing it didn't make a dime's worth of difference. I shudder when I think about my past political non-thinking, brainwashed stupidity. I am ashamed of my ignorance. Ergo, te absolvo. Please do the same for me.
