Sorry, but I never read that he "caught" it from the product! He simply said that he used the product. From this it started a process of symptoms of ALS -- that is very different from "catching something". In his first post that I read, he was very clear about it he was apologetic but wanted to make people aware to read and do their due diligence. It is entirely possible for this to happen.

There are other people who've had "scattering" from the product, according to them. Whether it is true or not, I don't know because I'm not in their shoes. I just know that different things work in different people's bodies in different ways period!
