Hi, I just wanted to say although it isn't safe I actually removed mine myself with absolutely no pain or problems. I'm not sure how much it would cost to have removed but you would also have to pay doctors fees as well which I'm sure would be a little
unrealistic considering it takes two seconds to actually remove! I had mine for just over a year and I just pulled it out Nov 10th the only thing so far is I haven't had a period but I didn't have one the year while on Mirena so who knows! good luck and keep us posted!
