You do not have to sip your Miracle-Mineral-Supplement in order for it to be effective. Sipping it is a variation on the protocol that Humble mentions in an interview, and it also happens to be a method that I have personally used in the past.

You do not have to keep Miracle-Mineral-Supplement away from food, in fact Humble says that taking it when their IS food in your stomach may help with nausea. But I agree that it may reduce the effectiveness a little, but it will still work fine.

The basic protocol is to activate your Miracle-Mineral-Supplement and drink it in a few ounces of fresh juice ... and repeat this either twice or three times per day depending on your dosage. This works very well.
