amato, the original procedure was to take it twice daily. Once in the morning and once in the evening, before bed. Humble says that it makes people sleepy; so the best time is right before bed. I always make sure I have an empty stomach; so the chlorine dioxide has freedom to work. I don't know where this sipping stuff started. I am a grazer. I don't normally have an empty stomach during the day.
