And the most vicious Ron Paul attacks seem to come from a daily diary here...

http://www.dailykos.com

I wonder what these liberal bloggers think of this...

Again, the bloggers cannot pin a "label" on Ron Paul, but do try to paint him as a "VERY bad man", and a "Wacko" because he does not make an active attempt to distance himself from what they define as "extremest" or "fringe" groups. The same groups that are attracted to him due to his constitutional stand. Not once is he accused of being a member of these groups... because he is not.

BTW, the blogger at dailykos.com is a very convincing writer through his emotional opinions... I can see how some would get sucked into his very hateful, venomous posts.

In addition, I find it most interesting that most of the blogs and reader comments, tend to label those who do not accept the government explanations of Ruby Ridge, Waco, Oklahoma City and both WTC bombings as honest fact "Wackos"... They go on to over use this term and apply it even more heavily to those that go on to believe in "conspiracy" theories of any kind.

Okay... the government told us the truth... yeah right.

I found this interesting and very disturbing at the same time...

I personally am not much of a Conspiracy theorist, however, I do not believe we have been told the truth very often if at all; almost the entire middle east conflict is based on publically spewed lies for the purpose of gaining public, global and political support for the illegal war. I think that this, is a big part of the problem. If government and all politicians would be honest, even if that honesty were painful, perhaps Ron would not have a chance.

There were some voting records on Ron Paul that disturbed me, and if accurate, and I assume they are for lack of time at the moment to verify (will invest time, perhaps after the holidays), I was a little set back... until I thought about most of them for a bit.

These primarily had to do with his voting on issues that concerned the exploitation of natural resources here at home... when I sat back and thought a bit about the consumption in this country, the trade deficit, AND our more than eager raping and pillaging of other countries and THEIR environments for our own over indulgent consumptive addictions to both things\stuff and behavior (way of life that must be protected at all costs; Watch Swordfish with John Travolta). I began to understand his vote a bit better...

Though I did not like it, I did not see a viable alternative; destroying another's back yard for my personal gain and profit does not quite seem right to me.

Another issue that bothered me with these blogs and reader comments, were the obvious statements of hanging onto at all costs the welfare state\entitlements... which competes with military spending for top spot in government waste. WE CAN NO LONGER AFFORD THESE PROGRAMS AT CURRENT SPENDING RATES. But again, I believe they take a back seat concern to military spending in foreign countries for Ron and there is little to be concerned about for a single term president IF he gets the nomination and IF he gets elected. If any of these bloggers had real dirt on Ron, I suspect I would have read it by now... at this point it appears to me to be nothing more than a circling of wagons and running in fear of losing their precious entitlement and special interest funding if Ron Paul is elected. I suspect they like their dependency on government; it is comfortable... Oh, that and not actively distancing himself from their categorized (they like categorizing (part of the social problem) things and people too) so called "fringe" groups.

I could go on, but I cannot find where Ron himself, deserved your comments... your comments now seem to be nothing more to me than an extension of the bloggers, strong, emotional, opinions... based on little more than their own contrived\concocted "conspiracy theory".

Whoops... I guess that makes them all "wacko"; their term, not mine.

I am through with this for now, however I will investigate voting records and additional information on Ron from both sides of the fence as time goes on.

Oh, one more thing before I forget, even with these blog posts, some reader comments still posted that Ron was the best of the Republican candidates... for whatever that is worth.
