Julie you said you got your cheilitis from an allergic reaction.. I was looking at the seperate amino acids... and L-HISTIDINE sounds like it relates to the way you got cheilitis..

i still got to go through about 10 more and see what their specific uses are.. also i read amino acids can't be absorbed through the skin..
