Although Iodine is great, a word of caution. I have hypo, and took 50mg iodoral/ then Lugols a day for about 4 months. I developed vitiligo.
I did some research and one of the minerals needed to make pigment is boron. Then i read somewhere that Iodine can rob the body of boron, so i think i unbalanced my minerals, well i know so, in hair mineral test, boron was non-existent, but it was fine in the test, pre iodine.
So taking high dose anything can be risky, you have to think balance.
