YES!! made a discovery...

http://www.pg.com/science/skincare/Skin_tws_10.htm

At the bottom of the epidermis is a very thin membrane, called the basement membrane, which attaches the epidermis firmly, though not rigidly, to the layer below.

i'm thinking we destroyed the basement membrane of the lips.. now the question may be ""how to repair the basement membrane"

i found this..
http://www.ingentaconnect.com/content/bsc/jid/2003/00000120/00000001/art00024

which is a complex but i found some information.

"Histologic studies showed that the basement membrane structure was damaged, with epidermal hyperplasia, in the first 2 wk of ultraviolet B irradiation, followed by the appearance of wrinkles, which gradually extended in the latter half of the ultraviolet B irradiation period."

It says epidermal hyperlasia, which is exatly what our lips are doing.

I'm going to bed now its nearly 2 o clock here in London... 2morro i'll found out how to restore the basement membrane(bottom layer of epidermis which connects to the dermis)... collagen won't rebuild whats not there.. i know its not there because of no blood.
