You can get your own saliva test done from the Canary club. Google it. FT3 should be high in the range, FT4 about 3/4 in the range. Go either to the hypothyroid forum on cz or yahoo forums Mary Shoman's forum is the one i learnt alot from.

It had how to dose on that website i mentioned. I ordered my own, i'm in uk and you can legally get some for own use from outside your own country. I've been taking it for nearly a year.
It is a good idea to have adrenals tested at the same time. I think the Canary club does thyroid, adrenals, and female hormones for an all-in low price, but i can't use it from the uk.
You may have to support adrenals to take Armour, especially higher doses. Some take isocort which is over the counter, or i took cortef -cortisol for 6-8 weeks.
You start slow, and increase every few weeks. People recommend different way, some go really really slow, 1/2 Grain, 30mg or less building up by 1/4 or 1/2 G until you reach ideal dose. They come in different size grains, 1Grain=60mg. I buy the 2G tab, but 1G tabs are easier to split if you want to take 15mg.
Go on a hypothyroidism forum and get advice there. My metabolism increased and i could eventually lose weight.
