Iodine is an essential mineral. There are a couple of Support Forums that discuss different forms, healing properties, detoxing...

Personally, I think caution should be used because a small percent of people are very sensitive to Iodine and it can adversely effect the thyroid in certain individuals.

My advice is go very slow on this supplement and if no ill effects occur then it is safe to move forward.

With minerals I believe it is best to supplement with food sources before trying inorganic sources, so I say look to kelp to get started.

Also you may want to wait till you get to the maintenance dosing of Miracle-Mineral-Supplement before trying iodine.
