I have received complete healing of some pretty serious conditions by having been anointed with oil, having hands laid and prayer.   I had a large cancerous tumor in my right breast at 26 yrs. of age, gone in two days, proven by mammographies before and after.  I had a large fibroid tumor for which docs wanted to butcher me with a hysterectomy before the birth of my second  child;  gone after prayer within a week and proven by before and after sonograms.   I have oodles of other things like that although not as dramatic but very real.

I have also prayed on many occasions for others healings and fully expected to see a recovery.   I have heard back many praise reports of total success.

"....able to lay hands on someone and they be healed".

I would never say I'm able to lay hands and someone get healed, nor that any of the healings that I received were because anyone was able.   The laying on of hands has absolutely no power of itself, other than offering warmth and comfort to the receiving person.   It is only powerful and effective when it is done in agreement with God's Word and accompanied by prayer to Him.

Mark 16:17-18     "These signs will accompany those who have believed:   in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues;

 18they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

James 5:14,15    1Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord;  <--(generally accompanied by laying on of hands as well)

 15and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.
