Have you tried oil pulling? It is pretty amazing with EVCO. I have had great success with EVCO around sinus/nose/head stuff.

The other thing I do is to use cayenne. You can add it to anything. But it is great in soups and broths which will help your cold anyway (I read somewhere that chickens are great Vitamin C producers, which perhaps is why eating chicken soup is really good for colds). So spice up some chicken soup with cayenne -- it will make your head feel better and clearer and help stuff move out.

Also, a few drops of H2O2 (Hydrogen-Peroxid) in the ears, an old remedy that many swear by.
