pharmacy student here, please don't ask why I'm on curezone.
So as for long term effects of adderall; you're taking amphetamines as you probably already know. Long term these have been shown to cause parkinson's disease.
Sometimes I find it hard to wrap my mind around this stuff; like why are they giving out amphetamines to kids when they know they can cause Parkinson's? We are told that the "benefit outweighs the risk" and these people have a neurotransmitter imbalance that is "corrected" by these stimulant drugs.
Truthfully, I wanted to get my hands on these to stay awake and study. Now i guess I'll just stick with cigs and coffee. Not worth it.
Oh, your withdrawals should subside in a couple of days to weeks. Probably not a good idea to quit cold turkey; a doctor would probably give you a benzodiazapine or hypnotic to calm you during this period. But I always find that if people know why they feel the way they do, they are better able to tolerate withdrawals.
Good luck
