If you're really sick, then I think those dosages are pretty high. Right now I'm doing 16.7 mg of ALA, and I have been chelating for close to 5 months. It will be another 2-4 months before I move up to 25 mg. I get headaches when I take too much ALA, and I use that as my indicator of where I should be.
