Sorry If I wasn't clear on that.

I started ALA about 25mg every 4 hours for 4 days on, 7 off for a couple months. Then I went to 50mg every 4 hours for 4 days on, 7 off for another month. I did not take DMSA or DMPS with ALA, I didn't want to take anything that wasn't natural.

At around the 3rd month, I started getting worse, leading me to the theory that the mercury was getting stuck somewhere. Then when I quit chelation I got much worse ( metals being re-absorbed or recycled? )

Then I found this naturopath and every Kinesiology test we did came back with heavy metals in the Liver, Kidneys, Colon, parotoids, and para-thyroid.

So I think, at least for me, my body needs more than just ALA to grab them and completely get rid of them.

I posted my original comment just to make sure that anyone else using ALA alone was careful about how they used it.
