I tried Chelation on the Cutler protocol with ALA only and without DMSA or DMPS. And I posted several messages previously about that. At first it seemed to be helping.

But after doing it for 6 months, bascially, it took all the mercury and heavy metals out of my brain and CNS and dumped it into my liver and endocrine glands.

I'm working with a naturopath now and we are working to get the heavy metals out of my liver. So I guess the moral of the story is, beware of using ALA without another chelator at the same time. It doesn't seem to work well.

And beware trying chelation on your own. I was arrogant to think I could just do it with Andy's book. Its much better to work with a doctor who has experience doing chelation.

Working with kinesiology, the supplements my body is wanting are similar to what Andy's book recommends in some cases, but some of the things I needed were completely off the radar. Its much better to work with someone, chelation is very difficult and I think it affects each of us very differently.

Just some advice for those just starting...
