Best guess is cost, rods from SilverGen are $12 a set, from SOTA for 9999 its $38, so if you go for the SilverGen buy 4 get 5 you are just over the cost of a single set from SOTA.

That said nothing stops you from buying your rods elsewhere and using a pair of pliers to shape them to fit the SilverGen...
