Andy, one thing that might help is using extremely small doses of ALA to start. Source Naturals makes one that is combination of CoQ10 and ALA with only 30 mg of each. If you split that into 4, it is only 7.5 mg. Split into 6, it is only 5 mg. Maybe an extra small dosage would be the way to start.
