I just happened to make some of this tonight, which you can get as a really hard root. I made tea. I'm not sure about the parasites, but raises white blood cell count. It also raises blood pressure so be careful. I wanted to post also because I've been eating seeds and making papaya seed tea, a potent antiparasitic fyi.
