Hi Anne,

I don't know if I understand Andy's statement, basically because I don't have his knowledge of human physiology. If the BBB was weak, and you have a higher concentration of mercury in the CNS, it should allow it to seep out. I understand there might be other problems, such as other things you don't want to let in besides the mercury, but that is at least how I understand it.

If anyone uses ALA, it is with the understanding that there is already more mercury in the brain/CNS than in the bloodstream. Otherwise ALA would work in reverse, by carrying more mercury into the brain than it pulls out.

I'm doing very well. Effects from chelation are positive and definitely there, but a little subtle. I think for most people doing this, it is a long haul, and so you have to realize that every round won't bring a new revelation. But, among other benefits, I find myself more comfortable in talking to people I've just met. It's pretty neat. :-)

I hope you're progressing as well. :-)
