There is a physical aspect caused from alcohol as the liver is use to produces Sugar from the alcohol, you may have seen candy on A.A. tables for this reason or heard of lemon and "honey" to help with the shakes – many find their self craving sweets after not drinking as the liver is use to the alcohol and process. Time can change things physically, hang tough things will settle down. Check with a real doctor for peace of mind.
